The Icons range pays tribute to members of the Drayton Family, who became legends of the Hunter Valley. They distinguished themselves with extraordinary contributions to the betterment of the Drayton's brand, as well as to the region's wine community.

The Icons wines are a limited range, made only from the most highly rated vintages, using grapes carefully picked and graded to ensure premium quality. 

Susanne Drayton, depicted on the label, was the wife of William, Second Generation Drayton. He looked after the vineyards and made the wines, and She managed the admin and logistics side of the business, whilst raising their 10 children at the same time! 

This premium Semillon is the traditional expression of the Hunter style. It has an attractive honey bouquet, with soft full bodied citrus & lime flavours. The finish is crisp and dry. Drinking nicely now, but with further careful cellaring it will develop the creamy & toasty characters, for which Hunter Semillon is revered.

Beautiful with fresh seafood (oysters, sashimi, prawns), but it's simply outstanding with fish & chips!
